Monterosso and last day of Riomaggiore

The hike from Vernazza to Monterosso was really pretty. We were bookin' it though because the sun was setting, and we wanted to make it there before we had to hike in the dark. You can see the sun and the moon!

You can see Vernazza and I think Riomaggiore from here.

Monterosso at night. The beaches were more sandy and pebbly than the others, which were just rocks. Monterosso is probably the most touristy of all the terres. There were a ton of people there, and everything was really expensive.

We couldn't see too much of Monterosso because we got there at night, but we walked around a bit and ate dinner before taking the train back to Riomaggiore. It was the only terre we didn't go swimming in, sadly. We did wade a bit, though.

Our last day in Riomaggiore was spent on the beach/port. For dinner I got pesto pasta from our favorite, te la do io la merenda. We got our two euro boxes of wine and watched the sunset.

The last sunset in Cinque was amazing. Other kids from the Grenoble program who were staying on Manarola came to join us and say goodbye for the last time.

The city was so beautiful at night. After the sun was completely down, we just watched the stars.

The next day we had a bit of time to chill around the city, but we had to leave around noon for Florence.
