Corniglia and Vernazza

We then took a train from Manarola to Corniglia, the "terre" Rick Steves calls the Ringo of the Cinque Terre (still great, but no one actually cares). We climbed over 300 stairs to get to the top where the city was (and then many more to get to and from the beach part). I actually really liked Corniglia. It was really quiet and not touristy at all. They had some really cool stores and gelato places, too. Just don't get a hostel here (you probably can't anyway...) because you'll literally die carrying any luggage up and down stairs.

The main plaza had a church and this statue thing in it. I thought it was cool.

Kitteh takin' a kitteh' nap.

On the way down to the beach part to go swimming. It was treacherous but worth it.

Unfortunately, the water had too many rocks in and wasn't deep enough to cliff jump. It was still gorgeous anyway, and it was fun for swimming.

View of another city from Corniglia. Pretty sure it's Manarola.

View of Corniglia from the hike to Vernazza.

So many viewfests.

Coming up on Vernazza from Corniglia. The hike was so long, but so rewarding.

Vernazza was lovely, and it was such a relief to jump in the water after the hike (and get pizza after, of course).

Vernazza had a really cool main street.

Their port. I cliff jumped here, too, but it was a pain to climb up the rocks because there were so many muscles clinging to them, and I didn't want to slice up my feet. For some reason the jump was freakier to me and it took a while to get down. But there was no other way to get down in the end, and my group fake threatened to get pizza without me. So with many curse words uttered, I jumped.

We then left Vernazza to hike to Monterosso. This is a view of Vernazza from above. The hike was a bit more dangerous than the last, and it was getting dark, too. We just made it to Monterosso right as the sun went down.
